The agricultural estate Villa Zagara is an outstanding reality located in the very heart of the historic center of Sorrento (NA). Alongside hospitality and event organization—activities deeply rooted in the Sorrento Coast—Villa Zagara has always carried on high?quality agricultural production, among which the oil made from the Minucciola Sorrentina cultivar stands out. This combination represents a unique case within the historic center of Sorrento, further enriched by the recent addition of the Hortus restaurant, where raw materials from the estate are used to create innovative menus with a careful eye on tradition.
The agricultural land in Sorrento covers 2 hectares, mainly planted with citrus groves and olive trees, while milling is entrusted to Frantoio Marsicani, recognized among the best on the international scene and a guarantee of the final product’s quality. Harvesting usually takes place at the beginning of October, when the olives are still green, and transport to the mill occurs on the same day. Numerous national and European awards have certified the quality of the production, acknowledging the work of a company committed to innovation while respecting tradition and ESG principles (Environment, Social and Governance).
