Profile
For over a century, the Marsicani family has been dedicated to olive oil production in the village of Sicilì, a hamlet of the municipality of Morigerati, located within the Cilento National Park and near the Bussento River Caves Nature Reserve.
The estate covers a total area of 60 hectares, 30 of which are dedicated to olive groves, with approximately 6,000 trees. Alongside the native cultivars—such as Pisciottana and Rotondella, cultivated since 1928—more modern plantings have been progressively introduced, including varieties such as Frantoio, Leccino, Itrana and Ortice.
A distinctive feature of the company is the integrated management of the entire production chain, carried out entirely on site. This organization allows for precise control over every stage of the process: from the agronomic management of the olive groves to mechanical harvesting, from milling with technologically advanced equipment to storage under controlled temperature conditions, all the way to packaging and direct product distribution.
Particular attention is also devoted to environmental sustainability, pursued through the recycling of processing by-products and the use of renewable energy sources.
The company’s production includes six labels, four of which are monovarietal and two with territorial designation: the Cilento PDO “Algoritmo” and the Campania PGI “Opera Nostra”.
The coexistence of native cultivars—characterized by aromatic profiles reminiscent of artichoke and olive leaf—and varieties offering notes of tomato leaf and fresh grass makes it possible to offer a diverse range of oils appreciated both nationally and internationally.
